Wise Endings, Transitions, & Evolutions

Oh hello, you ace Wise bunch you.

I wanted to create a place for us to land together as we move through the change that is afoot, ahead, and aheart.

As you may now know, Wise is moving twice this year.

Firstly, to Studio 48 at 91 Moreland Road Footscray in the historic Cotton Mills. From June, we will inhabit this space for 5 months as best we can.

Then, we will move across the road to the restored warehouse at 124 Whitehall Street Footscray — a space of wonder and possibility.

Here we will put down some roots.

I do wish we did not have to pit stop for 5 months. I wish we could move straight into our funky space at 124 Whitehall St.

I know the stress this puts on the Wise ecosystem.

And, it is the Way of Things.

Feeling in, there is a great heaviness here. It's in my heart.

I sense the richness that lives in our Campbell St space — the words, the shapes, the unspoken thickness of pain; the sheer hilarity and tomfoolery that emerges when we meet what is alive in each of us — is grouping together, coming closer, readying for the journey ahead.

As we negotiate these transitions together, my invitation is to notice what comes forward for you - how does your delightful bodymind meet endings, how does it organise around change and uncertainty?

What might you need to steady and stay the course.

I know I need time, and yet there is not much on offer.

And so slow moments will be The Way for me, drinking in what has been lived and known, trusting that remembering has its own flavour.

I've created some maps and information to support our way finding towards the (eventual) expansion of Wise into our next layer of expression at 124 WS.

When I feel into 124 WS, I sense an arrival before anything has happened — my torso ever so slightly lifts and a smile appears as if asking what might be possible here?

Let's see what unfolds.

Now to shift gears a little ...

Here is a zoomed out map showing the three locations. The new spaces are about 2km from current Wise.

First space ~ Mid June -> Early Nov

91 Moreland Rd Footscray — Upstairs at Studio 48

The Cotton Mills are historic industrial warehouses now home to a community of creative and independent practitioners.

Paid street parking can be found out the front on Moreland Rd. A little further up, before the intersection on Parker Street, is free 2 hour parking.

This space has the lovely continuity of exposed brick and enormous windows that pour sky into the room.

It's characterful and held — with a view you only get from being upstairs.

This is the main constraint — the space is located on the 2nd floor with stair access. The stairs have sturdy metal steps with handrails on both sides.

Here's how to find your way to Studio 48

I understand this space might not be the right fit for you. I have online appointments available and if you live in the inner west we can chat about home visits.

Second space & new home ~ Early Nov

124 Whitehall St Footscray — Studio 1

124 WS is a working space for independent businesses and creatives.

Set across a converted warehouse in Footscray's industrial heart, the site offers studio spaces and local warehousing.

2 and 4 hour free parking is available on Parker street.

This warehouse has a flat ground level entrance through a sliding door.

You can wait in the foyer or in the communal kitchen space.

People traffic is on the low side. There is a reiki business owned by Ken who has a low flow of clients coming through the space.

Other creatives come and go on a part time basis — eg Photography, Fashion, Office, E-Commerce, Fabrication, Artists.

The familiar dancing of timber, concrete, and greenery reminds us, settles and soothes.

Our space is the first enclosed room on the left off the hallway.

The meeting of timber and brick create a wonderful raw and rustic beauty. I love the height and natural light.

The space is a similar size to the ground level of Campbell St.

I'm pretty damn excited to feel into the space and see what emerges. And of course, to share her with you as the evolved Wise.

Any queries or questions, let's chat or please reach out ~ kit@wisephysiotherapy.com.au

I'm so appreciative to be doing this journeying together, like we always do.

See you in it,

Kit
